About Me

I taught A level Maths and Further Maths at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College from 1988 to 2004, before moving to Moreton Hall in 2004, where I taught Maths to all ages and at all levels, from Year 7 to Year 13, before retiring from full time teaching in 2008.

As well as teaching Maths, my duties at Moreton Hall involved training staff across the curriculum in using ICT for teaching and learning.

I have extensive experience in using IT both in the classroom and for preparing quality resources. I have organised several multi day training courses and from 2002 to 2015 , I tutored annually at the TSM Conference at Oundle School and latterly at Keele University, which attracted delegates from around the world.

I am also an associate of the Advanced Maths Support Programme (AMSP), formerly the Further Maths Support Programme (FMSP).

Since 2015, I have been working on a joint venture between AMSP and the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM), providing professional development for A Level Maths Teachers. These events have been provided at a more local level by the Shropshire, Hereford and Worcester Maths Hub (SHaW) and the North Midlands Maths Hub (North Mids)

if you're interested in such things, I also have accounts on Facebook and Twitter.
